Betty Jane Gingerich, 72, of Burlington, died at 2:47 a.m. Monday May 10, 1999 at Burlington Medical Center's Klein Unit. Born March 30, 1927 in York, PA., she was the daughter of Ervin D. and Elsie O. Coxen Waser. On March 29, 1947, she married Robert C. Gingerich in York, PA., He died October 15, 1992.
Mrs. Gingerich was a homemaker. She attended First United Church of Christ and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, both of Burlington.
Survivors include one son, Robert C. Gingerich Jr., of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Deborah (Jerry Sr.) Bliesener of Burlington and Sherry L. (Harold) Hoffman of Modesto, CA. Seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and one sister Minnie Myers of York, PA. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Wednesday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Gingerich will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Lunning Chapel, with Rev. Milo VanVeldhuisen officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
