MARTIN J. SPALDING DIES AT MORGANFIELD, BURIAL AT BARDSTOWN - MARTIN J. SPALDING, 83 (s/b 86), Louisville, was found dead in bed at 6 a.m. Friday at the rectory of St. Ann's Church, Morganfield, where he was visiting his son, the Very Rev. Joseph L. Spalding, pastor of St. Ann's. Death was attributed to a heart attack. A native of Lebanon, Mr. Spalding was employed for a time by the U. S. Coal & Coke Company at Lynch. Besides Father Spalding, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Ann Spalding. His wife, now deceased, was Miss Ann Lancaster, daughter of the late Robert Lancaster, of Bardstown. The body was brought to the Barrett Funeral Home, Louisville, and services were held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Louisville, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bardstown.
