Depauville
June 10- In remembrance of Tina C.,youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Vincent, who died May 17 aged 17 years,4 months and 2 days. ( misprint she was 13 years,6 months and 2 days).

A voice is forever stilled,
A form gone from our midst.
It makes our hearts feel heavy
to think how she will be missed.

But she's gone to meet her brother,
In that happy home above,
So do not grieve for Tina,
She has gone from this world of pain.
We have one great consolation,
We are sure to meet again.

She had caught a cold while wadding in the creek. It was cold water and late inthe fall. She died of consumption. The family was living on the Vincent homestead ( on Vincent road between Chaumont and Cape Vincent)at the time of her death. The cot that she died on was taken across the road to a vacant house and there left. Neighbors started complaning that when they drove by the house at night that they could see a light from the window. Her mother and daughter-in-law (my Grandmother Marjorie Vincent)and other family members also could see this light. They took the cot out and burned it and never saw the light again.
