BENOIT-In this city, Oct. 7. George N. Benoit, 350 Main street, husband of the late Blanche (Goyette) Benoit.
Reposing at the Hickey Funeral Home until 8:15 A. M. Monday. Relatives and friends invited to the funeral home and to a high mass of requiem at St. Patrick's church Mondat at 9 A. M. Interment in Calvary cemetery. Calling hours, 7-10 this evening and 2-5 and 7-10 P. M. Sunday.

George N. Benoit

George N. Benoit, of 350 Main street, whose age was given as about 80, was discovered dead in bed about 1:30 this morning by the manager of the hotel where he lived.
Officers Seelye and Lucas were dispatched to the scene and summoned the medical examiner. Dr. Peirce H. Leavitt viewed the body and announced death due to natural causes.
The body was taken to the funeral home at 403 Main street and Mrs. Doris Capozzi, a daughter living at 44 Brook street, was notified.
Mr. Benoit was born in Milbury and was a longtime resident of this city. He was a machinist by trade. His wife was the late Blanche (Goyette) Benoit.
He leaves a son, Charles of this city and nine daughters, Mrs. John Caffrey, Mrs. William Duffy, Mrs. Eva Drumgool and Mrs. Doris Capozzi, all of this city, Mrs. Dolores Dunlap of California, Mrs. Edna Meagher, Mrs. Helen Wise and Mrs. Blanche Lachimia, all of this city, and Evelyn Estes of Bryantville. He also leaves 36 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 from the funeral home, 403 Main street. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. Patrick's church at 9. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.

The funeral of George N. Benoit, 350 Main street, was held this morning from the funeral home, 403 Main street. A high mass of requiem was sung at St. Patrick's church at 9 with Rev. Joseph W. Kenney as celebrant. Acolytes were Lawrence Nelson and John Murphy. The choir was under the direction of the church organist, Miss Grace M. Reardon and soloists were Mrs. Brian McSweeney and Frank Laverty. Bearers were John Caffrey, William Duffy, John Drumgool and Frederick Meagher. Interment was in Calvary cemetery. Services were well attended and there were many floral tributes.

George's favorite meal was fried eels and then followed by a pint of lime sherbert ice cream.
