A funeral mass for Troy Allen Chayer 19, and Daniel James Zirkle,19, was concelebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Gilman Illinois by the Rev.Joseph Butters,the Rev.Dominic Morrissette, the Rev. Anthony Meis and the Rev. James McDermott.

Troy of Danforth and Dan of Crescent City both died in an auto accident Thursday near Crescent City Illinois.

Troy was born in Fairbury Illinois June 7, 1965 to LeRoy and Carol (Miller) Chayer.

He grew up in Danforth and attended Danforth and Gilman schools graduating with the class of 1983 from Gilman High.
troy was active in all sports during high school and made it on the all-area football team.

He was employed by Zirkle Construction Company and was a member of Immaculate Conception church.
Troy had recently enlisted in the Marine Corps.

Survivors include his parents, one brother Michael of Danforth, one sister Kim at home: paternal grandparents LeRoy C. and Amanda Chayer of Kankakee: and maternal grandparents Vincent and Ivadel Miller of Gilman.

Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery Gilman,. Pallbearers were Doug Hanes, Billy Short, Scott Harrison, Reed Wilken, Tom Chase and Randy Finckbone.
