Carley Anthon Brown, 87, of Hamilton died on January 30, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 1 at Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial was in Hamilton Memory Gardens. He was born on April 10, 1915 in Hamilton, the son of James Rias and Martha Sedara "Dee" (McCarley) Brown. He was a retired jeweler and owner of Brown's Jewelry in Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Davis) Brown; and his daughter, Cutah Moore. Survivors include his daughter, Peggy Hubbard of Hamilton; his son, James Brown of Hamilton; his sister, Sylvia Cairlou Luker of Selma; his brother, Duward Brown of Caledonia, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
