He graduated from Craig High School and was the son of Mrs. Ada Ranney . He is buried in the Craig Co. cemetery in Craig Co., Section F 06 lot 23.
He and his wife were to make their home at Phippsburg, where George was employed by the Moffat Railroad.
This was at the time of Hunt's (Archibald and Cora's McLachlan's son) death. He had 39 years with the D & RGW which included a job as a conductor of the Yampa Valley Mail before he retired in 1957. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen; Yampa Lodge # 88, AF&AM, Craig; the Kremmling, Colorado VFW, and the National Rifle Association. He was also a Master Mason.
