Charles was buried near his brother John. Later, his parents would be buried with their two babies.

That reads as follows, "OBENLAND--On April 5, 1909, Charles F, son of William and Fannie Obenland (McKnight), aged 7 months. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday at 2:30 PM at the residence of his parents at 649 E. Wishart St. Internment private, at North Cedar Hill Cemetery."
