Note: Aaron Johnson enlisted in the Confederate States Army on October 22, 1862, in Capt. Fields Company at Camp Bisby in the 4th LA Infantry. He served in both Companies G and H. He was shot in the upper right thigh on April 8, 1864, and had his leg amputated just below the hip. This information is from two applications for a state pension, one in 1898 and one in 1900. Records show he was allotted $15.20 a quarter.
