Gerald J. Currier, 73 of Syracuse, NY died Friday Febuary 15, 2002 at Community General Hospital.

He was born in Troy, NY and graduated from Siena College.

He retired in 1987 after 35 years as a VP of Regional Operations for Niagara Mohawk.

A Former Director 1979-85 of Lighthouse Society for the Blind, Past Board member of United Way of CNY and American Red Cross, Volunteer with NYS Special Olympics, Past President of West Genesee School Board, Former Board member of Credit Bureau of Syracuse and CNY, Past volunteer with Junior Achievement and Elmcrest Children's Center.

US Army veteran served from 1946-48.

A son Robert died in 1970.

Survived by his wife of 50 years Barbara Evans, a daughter Susan Bailey NC; two sons David Currier Boise, ID; Gary Currier Liverpool, NY; two sisters Jennette Castiglione Binghamton, NY and Sharon Blache Loudonville, NY; one brother Frank Currier Philippines; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services 9:30 am Saturday 2/23/02 at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee Street Camillus. Burial in St. Mary's cemetery DeWitt, NY. Calling hours 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday at funeral home.
