Henry Dye Buzzard, 85, of Parkersburg died Thursday October 28, 2004 at Eagle Pointe. He was born in Parkersburg a son of the late John William and Almedia Dye Buzzard.

He was a 1937 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the 82nd Battalion during WW II, and receiving the Purple Heart. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years Augusta Ryan Buzzard; two sons and daughters-in-law Lloyd and Sue Ellen Buzzard and Larry A. and Tracy Buzzard all of Mineral Wells; two granddaughters Stacy Lee Buzzard of Mineral Wells and her fiance Jason Cain, and Katie Buzzard also of Mineral Wells; two sisters Elizabeth "Betty" Rasel and Maxine Griffin both of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by and infant son and daughter; brothers William Jr., Chester, Herbert, and Davis B. Buzzard; and sisters Evelyn Buzzard, Lonal Wise, and twins Eleanor Clark and Lenora Edwards.

Services will be Monday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverends Phil Newhart and Robert Alfred officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be Sunday 2-9 PM.
