Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Achsah Atlantis Richardson was the daughter of Naomi Elizabeth Riggs (1841-1872) and Homer R. Richardson (1838-1868). She was born on Lightning Creek south of Monmouth, Osage Township, Crawford County, Kansas. The 1870 census of Crawford County, Osage Township, Kansas, shows her name as Achsah A., age 2, born in Kansas. In all other places we have Elizabeth, Lizzy or Lizzie. Her mother, Naomi (Riggs) Richardson, wrote in a letter to her 'Brother & Sister', dated May 5, 1868, stating: "My youngest child was born on the 11th of April, I call her Lizzie."

Her father died from pneumonia twelve days after she was born and her mother died four years later during childbirth after she had married Mr. Edmondson in early 1871. Lizzie was raised by her second cousin, Achsah 'Axie' Octavia Hall Eakin (1850-1924) and her husband Robert Eakin (1843-1912) who lived in Venango County, Pennsylvania and later in Eau Claire, Butler County, Pennsylvania.

She attended school at the Eau Claire Academy.

The Eakins purchased a Jubilee, foot pumped, parlor organ for her and provided her with organ lessons. She became an accomplished musician.

Lizzie and George Edwin Hillard (1861-1950) were married on May 9, 1889 in Millerstown, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania by the Rev. William Branfield.
Children:
Homer Edwin 'Pinkey' (1890-1963)
Kathryn Alice 'Kay' (1892-1962)
Amelia Louella (1894-1957)
Mildred Atlantis (1896-1992)
Charles 'Charlie' Richardson (1899-1967)
Warren Yancey (1902-1991)
Fred Allison (1904-1987) •

On May 9, 1939, they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their home with many of their children and grandchildren in attendance.

When they moved from Pennsylvania to California in 1905, they brought very few personal items with them on the train. Lizzie did bring the Jubilee, foot pumped, parlor organ which had been purchased for her by the Eakin's. She willed to her son, Fred Allison Hillard, and upon Fred's death it was willed to his grandson, Jushua Kagy.
