Eva Grace Dillard was the daughter of John and Minnie (Bussey) Dillard. The
family moved to Missouri when Eva was three years old. Her father died and is
buried in Missouri.

Eva Bowman, 85, a Klamath County native and long-time resident, died Wednesday at the Odd Fellows Home in Portland where she had been an active resient for four months.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Bonanza to John and Minnie Dillard. On June 21, 1921, in Merrill she married Melvin Bowman who died in 1980.
Mrs. Bowman was a long-time resident of Merrill where she owned an insurance business for 40 years. She later moved to Klamath Falls and left the community in 1986 to relocate first in Corvallis, then in Portland.
She was a past member of the Malin Eastern Star, Merrill Garden Club, Merrill Presbyterian Church and Merrill Rebekah Lodge. For many years she judged flower exhibits at the Klamath Basin Potato Festival in Merrill.
Survivors include a brother, John Dillard, Monroe; sons, Vernon Bowman, Portland, and Donald Bowman, Portland; Portland; also five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Oren Dillard and Uel Dillard; sisters, Zena Barks and Florence Ogle.
