Age 86 passed away July 29, 2008 in Port Orange, FL. Beloved Wife of the late Kevin Barry Abboud. Born in Newton, MA on December 9, 1921 she was the Daughter of the late Ambrose G. and Mary (McAleer) Gallagher. Loving Mother of Kevin and his wife Neva Abboud of Bethpage, NY, David and his wife Marie Abboud of Fitchburg, MA, Robert and his wife Virginia Abboud of Palmer, PA, Kathleen Johnson formerly of Bellingham, MA and Michael and his wife Diane Abboud of Framingham, MA. Proud Grandmother of Keith and Barbara Abboud of Farmingdale, NY, Danielle and Colin Abboud of Bethpage, NY, Hollace Abboud of Fitchburg, MA, Ryan, Christopher and Airman Kevin Johnson of Bellingham, MA and Kayla Abboud of Framingham, MA. Sister of the late Robert Gallagher, John Gallagher, Lt. Col. Eleanor Gallagher, Richard Gallagher and Gerald Gallagher. She is survived by her Sister In Laws, Ruth Hogan of Winchester, MA, Teresa Gallagher of Oceanside, NY, Marge Gallagher of Ormond Beach, FL, and Mr. & Mrs. Donald Abboud of Arlington, MA and dear friends. She raised her family in Newton, then moved to Bellingham in later years and wintered in Daytona Beach, FL. Mary was the first recipient of a total hip replacement in the United States. A dedicated Mother, loving home maker, supervisor for 25 years at Joe Long Associates, last working years at Guarantee First Bank in Waltham, MA. A word to sum up Mary L. Abboud a Care Giver of love to All, a wonderful Mother, a dear friend. Mary may not have officially belong to many clubs, she was too busy with her open door policy for the children of Newton, So many would stop for a bite to eat, a place to stay or just a cookie. Mary never said no. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral will be held Monday with a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00AM in St. George Church, 74 School St., Framingham, MA. Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends invited to attend. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers Donations In Memory of Mary L.
