Troy Hopkins, 86, of Cedarville died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in a local hospital. He was a self-employed brick mason, a resident of Cedarville and of the Baptist faith. He was a former member of Crawford County Mounted Patrol and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Hopkins; both parents, James and Dorinia Hopkins; a brother, Wesley Hopkins; and two sisters, Lillian Kylander and Hazel Lomax.

Funeral was held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial and military honors at Bryant Cemetery in Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by a son, Troy W. Hopkins of Cedarville; a sister, Ruby Mayo of Oakland, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Cody Hopkins of Marshall, Dusty Hopkins of New Orleans and Rowdy and Stonie Hopkins, both of Van Buren.

Pallbearers were Cody, Dusty, Rowdy and Stonie Hopkins, T.J. Brown, Lowell and Butch Barnes, Bruce Jones, David Brodrick and Bill Vickery.
