Sunshine was a black and white Shih Tzu with a white cotton top head. We got him when he was eight weeks old in Woodstock, Maryland. His Mom was Sophie and his Dad was Gizmo. He was the only boy in a litter of five pups. He was kind and gentle and loved everybody, especially his Mom and his Jim.
Sunny also loved his toys and he kept them in wicker baskets all over the house. He knew every toy by name and would fetch them if you requested. Our mail carrier said that he never saw a dog receive so much mail. Anyone who knew our family well always addressed Sunshine's name on the envelope along with ours.

In his early years, Sunshine took quite a few trips to Ocean City, MD, and he really loved it down there. Later on, he lived the good life in the hills of Pennsylvania.
Sunshine's favorite dog buddy was a golden retriever named Daisy who lives in the house behind us. He always looked forward to her visits. She grieved him for quite some time after his passing.

Sunshine slept in dog beds that we had placed in just about every room in the house. We propped up pillows by his bed to keep the light out of his eyes and he really appreciated it.

His favorite foods were treats, chicken, hamburger and ice cream. He even drank bottled water. We did every thing we could to help him live a long life but the good Lord took him home on May 8, 2008. The doctor never did tell us what the cause of death was but he believed it was some type of cancer. We had Sunshine cremated and he is now back at his house where he belongs.

Little buddy Sunshine, I think about you every day and we will always love you.
