Obituary – Mrs. Lydia Weaver

Mrs. Lydia A. Weaver, aged 77 years, answered to the summons of the Master at her home on West Third street, at 6 o'clock yesterday morning (July 6, 1911), following an illness extending over several years. Mrs. Weaver was one of the city's most highly respected and aged ladies, and has been a resident here the greater part of her life. She was born on a farm south of Salem. Her husband, John S. Weaver, died at Irondale, about 36 years ago. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church for the past 40 years and until unable to be about on account of illness, a faithful worker in behalf of the missionary society of the First Presbyterian church of this city.

Deceased is survived by seven children, Mrs. Hannah Hood; Mrs. Elizabeth Rose, Miss Mary Weaver, John , Will and Charles Weaver, all of this city, and Harry Weaver of ?????, Fla. She is also survived by one brother, Casper Weaver, of Greensburg, Pa., and two grandchildren, Carl Taylor and Edward B Weaver.

Funeral services over the remains will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. E. M. McMillin, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Riverview cemetery.
