New Iberia Enterprise and Independent Observer (New Iberia, LA), October 11, 1913:

Died, at Dallas, Texas, on Friday, October 9th, at 10 o'clock A. M., Mrs. A. C. Wilson, nee Clara Burke, aged 38 years, after an illness of only a few days from an attack of appendicitis which developed into a severe case of pneumonia. Mrs. Wilson was the youngest daughter of the late James L. Burke and leaves to mourn her death besides her husband and two young children, several brothers and sisters, Messrs. Walter J., Willie L., Porteus R., Mesdames J. B. Ker and S. B. Thomas of New York City, Mrs. J. Paul Suberbielle and Mrs. H. J. Fuller of this City and Mrs. H. B. Mistrot of Waco, Tex. The funeral will be held from St. Peter's Catholic church on Sunday afternoon at four o'clock.

The funeral obsequies of Mrs. A. C. Wilson nee Clara S. Burke, the youngest daughter of the late James L. Burke took place last Sunday afternoon at four o'clock from the residence of her brother, Senator Walter J. Burke, the services being held at St. Peter's Catholic church with Rev. Langlois officiating, after which the remains were deposited in the Catholic cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of sympathetic relatives and friends. The bereaved husband and family have the heartfelt sympathy of the community.
