OBITUARY

Mattoon, Illinois
Floyd Charles "Bud" Boorom, 82, of Neoga and formerly of Mattoon, died on December 19, 1999 at Danville VA Medical Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Schilling Funeral Home with Rev. Barbara Short officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. He was born on August 12, 1917 in Mattoon, the son of Floyd and Beulah (Davidson) Boorom. He is survived by one brother, George Boorom of Cocoa, Florida; two sisters, Amy Boorom and Dorothy Hickey, both of Neoga; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Mr. Boorom was a World War II Army veteran. He worked for many years at Clarks Foundry. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 4325 and a member of Marshall Avenue Christian Church. Memorials may be made to Marshall Avenue Christian Church Building Fund.
