George R. Deal, age 66, a well known farmer and stockman, died suddenly about noon today at his home, 723 East Eastwood. According to Dr. C. L. Lawless, county coroner, his death was attributed to embolism of the coronary artery of the heart. Mr. Deal appeared to be in his usual good health this morning when he drove out to his farm near Sulphur Springs to look after his farming interests, and with a helper, loaded a small truck with wood to bring home, When he arrived at his home he was able to walk into the house but told his wife that he was very ill with a severe pain in his chest. He was only able to reach the dining room when he was compelled to lie down on the floor. Death came within a few minutes and before a physician could be summoned.

Mr. and Mrs. Deal moved to Marshall from their farm in about 1919 to their present home on Eastwood. No children were born to them but they reared a nephew, G. M. Deal, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Deal, and to him they had given the affection of an own son.

Funeral arrangements have not been made, awaiting the contacting of the nephew, who has, been a student at an aeronautical school in Kansas City. He had not been reached at press time.
