Marvin Dale Kinzy Sr., 60, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 6, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Southlawn Assembly of God Church, 4300 Bowie St., with the Rev. Jerald Middaugh and the pastor of Southlawn Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Military rites will be by Disabled American Veterans Ch. 26.

Mr. Kinzy was born in Stringtown, Okla. He graduated from Sunray High School. He served in the Navy as a medic corpsman for four years.

Mr. Kinzy had lived in Amarillo for the past 22 years. He had been supervisor for Owens-Corning Fiberglass for 19 years. Prior employment included 11 years as manager for American Security Life Insurance and as supervisor of the City of Dumas gas department.

He married Patsy Daniel in 1961.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Dale, Mike and Marvetta, all of Amarillo, Johnny of Brownwood and Lynn of Cheyenne, Okla.; his mother, Bobbie Kinzy of Sunray; a brother, Bill Kinzy of Albuquerque; a sister, Virginia Dobbs of Hobbs, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will be at 5 Judd. They request memorials be to Southlawn Assembly of God Church or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
