She was born in Whitehall, Wisconsin on October 9, 1926, daughter of Reider and Aleida (Hanson) Knutson.
Lavina will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Harold Aanerud; brothers, Theron and Arlyn Knutson.
Lavina is survived by her children, Roy (Sharon) Aanerud, Karolyn (Ron) Hutton, Faye (Dave) Helgeson, and Candace (Paul) Ostertag; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Armella Skoyen, and two sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Our hope is that mom is square dancing with dad, playing cards with friends and quilting to her heart's content.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum, Wisconsin with Reverend Lowell Bolstad officiating.
Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon Falls.
