William the son of Joshua and Jane Gamblin, was born in Graves County, Kentucky. He married his neighbour Fredonia Green on August 1, 1853 and they raised 12 children.
In 1860 they and other family members moved to Missouri and settled on a farm in the Crooked Creek area.
He was predeceased by his parents and an infant child. They are all believed to be buried on the family farm, now known as the Schermesser Farm Cemetery.
He was my great, great Grandfather.
