Sterling 'Junior' Lowell Franklin, 81, of Clayton, passed away August 9, 2008. He was born August 16, 1926 to the late Lowell and Alice Franklin in Indianapolis. He was nicknamed Junior by his father Lowell and the family always called him by that name.
He was a lifelong Hendricks County dairy farmer until his retirement in 1989. Junior was married to Verna Brush on April 17, 1960. They lived on the family farm and raised one son. Junior had one sister, Mary Kathleen Franklin Zimmerman Storey who passed away in March of 2014. Junior was a member of the Belleville United Methodist Church. Junior suffered for many years with ALS or Lou Gerich's disease.
He was preceded in death by his wife Verna C. Brush Franklin.
Services were entrusted to Hampton Gentry Funeral Home of Plainfield, Indiana.
