Pauline Witham, 93, of New Berlin died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born March 5, 1907, in Cobden, the daughter of William E. and Stella Smith Chism. She married Prentice Witham in 1926; he preceded her in death in 1985. A daughter, Donna Jean Witham also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Witham was a homemaker and member of the United Baptist Church of New Berlin.
Survivors: a son, Gerald "Bud" (wife, Virginia) Witham of Decatur; a daughter, Kay (husband, Marvin) Smith of Springfield; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 39 foster children; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, McCullough-Delaney Funeral Home in New Berlin, the Rev. Timothy Conner officiating. Burial: Berlin Cemetery.
