Thomas Lester Kohlmeyer was born in Venango Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, the son of Emma K. Eakin (1860-1940) and Oliver P. Kohlmeyer (1856-1893). His mother, Emma, married Finley Morgan Hosack (1860-1938) after his father, Oliver, died.
He married Elizabeth Amy Hillard (1878-1968) on September 4, 1912 in Butler County, Pennsylvania. They resided at Kohlmeyer Corners, two miles west of Eau Claire, in Venango Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania for many years. Tom was a farmer all of his life. He was very good with horses and had a great knowledge of doctoring sick horses and cattle. He also worked in the oil fields and was a teamster.

Thomas Lester Kohlmeyer, 74, of Eau Claire, died early this morning.

Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Benjamin Jenkins, of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Eau Claire Cemetery, Arrangements by Criswell.
