Alfred "Alf" Charles Eburne, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2002 at the age of 98 years. He will be dearly missed by his dear wife of sixty-eight years, Edith Caroline Eburne; three children, Carolyn Nelson (Douglas) of Las Vegas, NV, Norman Eburne (Maureen) of Corvallis, OR and Sharon Eburne of Calgary; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother James Eburne of England; one sister Margaret Cotton of Winnipeg; and many other relatives and friends.

Alf was born and raised in Winnipeg and moved to Calgary in 1977. He worked for the CPR as a machinist for nearly fifty years. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in numerous positions including the Family History Centre and the Church Bookstore. Alf was an avid reader and loved to walk. He was an outgoing and friendly man who was loved by all who knew him. He was also a faithful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sundance Chapel, 100 Sunpark Drive S.E.
