James S. Antle was the third of nine children born to Henry and Nancy C. Duncan Antle. James was born in Iowa and died near Salisbury, Sangamon Co., IL March 24, 1901. He married Effie Mildred Peterson in Berlin, IL September 6, 1894. They were married in the Methodist Church Parsonage by Rev. G.W. Dugan. They had 7 children.
