Son of John and Nancy Smith Geer, he was born in Brookville, married Edith Emily Ecklund, a farmer, lived at Lake City, Spring Creek Twp, died there of cancer of the liver, per death certificate 4319, whose informant was Olga Carnahan pf Portland Mills. Buried Jan 28 1937.

Per Pennsylvania Marriages, on Dec 27 1905 in Elk Co, Everett Geer of Brookville, teamster, 22, son of John and Nancy Geer, married Edith E. Eckland of Portland Mills, 18, daughter of Charles and Ingar Ecklund, with the consent of her father; first marriage for both.

On Dec 27 1905, Perry married Edith Emily Ecklund, daughter of Charles and Ingar (Nelson) Eckland. Perry worked as a lumberman, in a leather factory and from 1930 at Clauson Chemical in Hallton. He walked from Lake City to Hallton, setting traps on his way to work. On the way home, he checked traps and carried groceries in a bag on his back. The money he made was only good in the company store. His job at Clauson Chemical was to pull retorts out of the ovens. One day he had to pull a friend out of the oven to save him. That friend was Rev. Brooks. When Perry became ill, his son-in-law Virg Carnahan, had to drive through flooding up to the car doors to bring Dr. Hutchison to see Perry. When Perry died, his friend Rev. Brooks got out of his sick bed and walked from Hazen to Lake City to officiate at the funeral.
