He was born Jun 22, 1937 in Pickens, SC to Thomas and Eva Huey. He married Wilma Beshears in Springfield on May 11, 1961.
In 1950 Huey served the Army in the Korean War. He moved to the Eugene area in 1959 and founded Huey & Son's Roofing Co. in 1981.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, computers, drawing, studying the Bible and helping out at church. In his younger years he taught Sunday school and was Sunday school superintendent. He belonged to Eugene Faith Center.
Survivors include his wife; Wilma, two sons Marty of Dexter and Chris of Eugene; five sisters, Catherine Suter of Springfield, Lucille Freeman of North Carolina, and Ruby Ramey, Josie Pace and Margaret Loftis, all of South Carolina; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at Eugene Faith Center, Burial at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.
