Ridgway --Hazel Geer, 65, of Lake City, died Wednesday at Blose-McGregor Nursing Home in Punxsutawney following a lengthy illness. She was born May 1, 1910, in Hallton, daughter of Perry Everett and Edith Emily Eckland (should be Ecklund) Geer.

She lived in both Hallton and Brockway and had been employed as a housekeeper.

Surviving are five sisters, Betty Geer and Mrs. Dorothy (Arthur) Shick of Lake City, Mrs. Maxine (Elmer) Frantz of Ridgway, Mrs. Olga (Virg) Carnahan of Brookville, and Mrs. Ruby Sutliff of Pittsburgh; and four brothers, Perry and Howard Geer of Lake City, Clarence Geer of Franklin, and Edward Geer of Toledo, OH. Deceased are her parents and a brother, Clifton.

Services were at 1:30 pm Saturday at the Lake City Methodist Church, with Rev. Laverne Howard officiating. Burial was in Lake City Cemetery.
