ALDA MAE ABEL, 61,175 Laing Ave., Clymer RD 1, died Thursday, March 4, 1993, at her home. The daughter of Charles and Florence Brown Orton, she was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Manor Township, Armstrong County. Prior to her illness, Mrs. Abel had been employed by Bethany Place Personal Care Home, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, George A. Abel, with whom she married on Oct. 28, 1985; five children: Robert Wilson, Homer City; Mrs. Roger (Sue) Wolfe, Indiana; David Wilson, Creekside; and Mrs. Rodney (Darla) Logan and Chris Wilson, both of Indiana; two step children, James Abel, Indiana, and Mrs. Bryan (Kimberly) Hamil, Commodore; seven grandchildren and five step grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Ned Orton, Ford City; William Orton, Indiana; Mrs. Harold (Florence) Treese, Indiana; and Charles Orton, Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Robert Wilson. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Paul Price officiating. Interment will follow in Best Cemetery, Deckers Point.
