Hannah Atlantic Lewis Tipton married Thomas Luke Tipton on July 25, 1868. She had come to Jerusalem, Ohio to visit her sister while recovering from an ill fated romance. She was an intelligent woman. After their marriage they moved back to Indiana for a couple years. They had three boys, Clifton Lewis ( 1869-1905, James Bert ( 1872-1916) and Joseph Linley (1876-1925) all of whom died in their young adulthood, leaving Hannah and Luke devastated. Hannah became a spiritualist and attempted to converse with her deceased sons. She fell down her stairs and broke a hip in her later years and was forever after unable to walk. She lived another 6 years after Luke died.
