Rose E. Bourdon

Funeral services for Rose E. Bourdon, 63, Bombay, and formerly of 16 Richards St, Massena, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena with the Rev. Douglas Shear officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Massena.

Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Surviving are one son, Charles Romigh, Massena; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Guyette, Massena; two brothers, Bernard Rafter, Massena, and George Teapole, New Brighton, Conn. She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Melinda Romeigh; one sister, Mabel White; and six brothers, Athol, Clarence, Arthur, Thomas, Lawrence and James Rafter.

She was born in Massena on March 3, 1921, daughter of David and Katherine Russell Rafter.

She married Albert J. Bourdon at the First Methodist Church, Massena. He died in 1974.

Mrs. Bourdon worked as a chef and restaurateur and owned Pine Circle Restaurant, Westville Center and the Country Manor Restaurant, Bombay, before retiring in 1982 for health reasons. In the 60's she worked at the Americana Diner, Herbert's Steak House and Valehaven, all in Massena.
