Michael T. "Mike" Brubaker, 64, of Altoona died Thursday of a heart attack at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of Frank and Dorothy (Helsel) Brubaker. He married Margaret E. "Peggy" Long July 11, 1974, in Duncansville.
Surviving are his wife; a sister, Leanna Kephart and husband, Pete; stepmother, Ethel Brubaker; and a stepbrother, Chuck Pleacher. He was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Sammy Pleacher.
Mike attended Grace United Methodist Church. He retired from Sears. He was a 1962 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He enjoyed working on cars and was a member of Blair County Antique Auto Club.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto Reste Park. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at the funeral home by the Rev. Bernard J. Bookhammer. Interment at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
