Susan was my gggrandmother. Phillip, her husband (my gggrandfather) and she are both buried in Totheroh Cemetery, just north of Ambia, IN. The cemetery and the town are both very close to the Illinois State line. Even though Ambia is a very small town, it still does have a U. S. Post Office, so I would think the cemetery's listing should be: Totheroh Cemetery (Ambia). Boswell is about 10 miles east of Ambia.

Family members are still trying to find documentation of the receipt of Susan's body from the Hertz Funeral Home in Illinois and the interment at Totheroh. If her body is there and she has a stone, it is not marked.

Susan's Newspaper Obituary:
MRS. SUSAN DAVIS DIES AT REDDICK
Aged Woman Suffered From Lingering Illness; Body at Hertz Chapel
Mrs. Susan Davis dies at 3:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Opal Bryant near Reddick. Death resulted from a lingering illness.
The body has been taken to the B. F. Hertz chapel in this city and will be shipped to Ambia, Ind., on Thursday for burial with her husband in the family lot.
Mrs. Davis was born in Ohio on Sept. 20, 1843. She is survived by three sons, W. J. Davis of Mt. Vernon, S. D.; A. F. Davis of Ambia, Ind.; and Homer Davis of Dwight; three daughters, Mrs. L. E. Smith of Kankakee; Mrs. Flora Metzinger of Onaka, S. D.; and Mrs. Opal Bryant of Reddick.
