Roy L. Harpold, 75, of Charleston died April 16, 1994, at General Division, CAMC, after a long illness.


He was a retired foreman for DuPont Co. with 38 years' service and a Navy veteran of World War II.


Surviving: wife, Marilyn; son, Jeff of Charleston; step daughters, Debra Stutler and Rebecca Bays, both of Sissonville, Pamela Saltsgaver of Cedar Grove, Sara Dehart of St. Albans, Caroline Davis of Richmond, Va; sisters, Lena Smith of Orlando, Fla., Stella Craigo of Red House; 12 grandchildren.


Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Legacy Memorial Funeral Home, Cross Lanes, with the Rev. Lloyd Humphreys officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Legacy Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Tyler Mountain.

The name of the cemetery was changed to Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens
