James Isaiah Losey, 65, owner and proprietor of a gasoline station on outer Maple St., died at about 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, June 8, 1949, in Cornwall General Hospital, where he had been a patient for over six weeks.

Mr. Losey was born Oct. 23, 1883, in Moulinette, Ont., a son of Alvinza and Julia Losey. He came to this country as a young boy and later became a naturalized citizen He married Miss Anna Paupst of Massena.

For a great many years he was a glass glazier and resided in several different places in the West. About 20 years ago he returned to Massena to operate a gas station and store. He made his home with his sister, Mrs. Minnie Quiinn, at 124 Maple St., for the past several years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Helen) Dupray, 14 South St.. and Mrs. Roy (Hilda) Paige, Town Line Rd.; eight grandchildren: one sister, Mrs. Quinn, and one brother, Henry Losey, both of Massena.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Duprey, 14 South St. The Rev. A. Leslie Potter, former pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
