"Maxmilion Valentine"

This veteran is recorded in the 1900 census with his parents and older siblings as "Kaczynski." He is recorded as Kaczinski in records from the early 1920s. However, The Wisconsin Death Index, the BIRLS Index, the SSDI, the Nationwide Gravesite Locator, and the U. S. Veterans' Gravesites index all record him as Kreisler, indicating that he changed his surname.

A 1923 record from the national veterans home near Milwaukee shows that he enlisted in April of 1917 in the 324th Infantry and served until April of 1919. He also enlisted in France for another year of service until May, 1920.

A 1921 U. S. passport Application records his wife as Sibylla Necker, born 19 Jun 1887 in Germany.
