Mrs. Eva Gibson Of Near Alamo Dies In Hospital- ALAMO-
Mrs. Eva Marcella Gibson, 52, who resided three miles northeast of here, died at 12:15 a.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient since Thanksgiving day. She had been in failing health since October of 1961. Mrs. Gibson had lived in this area since 1949. She was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. Born Dec. 28, 1909 in Whitt, Montgomery County, Ill.; she was a daughter of Oliver and Maude Whittman. She received her education at Whitt. On June 26, 1948 she married John Robert Gibson at Whitt. Mr. Gibson is an engineer and is employed by Purdue University. Survivors include her husband; and two sisters, Miss Dorothy Whittman and Miss Cletta Whittman, both of Whitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons and twin sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. (EST) Tuesday at Servies Funeral home in Waynetown. Rev. Morris Finch, pastor of the Alamo Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Irving Cemetery at Whitt where graveside rites will be conducted at 4 p.m. (EST). Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Monday.
