Pearl Stella Parton Green, age 90 of Sevierville, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018.
Momma was full of love and laughter and never met a stranger. She loved her children and grandchildren with a fierce tenacity. She gave all those who were blessed to be in her life her love and knowledge of Jesus. She loved her flowers and could make anything grow! Spring was her favorite time of year and she would come alive just like Spring. She was the matriarch of the family, the glue that held us together and provided all the knowledge of our family history. As she walked in to Heaven she became young again and was met by her husband Sherman, family and friends. She loved and was loved beyond definition. We will miss her, till we meet again!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ella Parton; husband Sherman C. Green, Sr.; brothers, J.R., Dee, and Harold Parton; niece Gale Patterson Ryan and nephew Freddie Green, Jr.
Survivors include her Sons: Sherman C. Green, Jr. and wife Denise, Dennis J. Green and wife Arlene, Freddie L. Green and wife Regina; Daughter: Linda G. Green Harmon and husband Howard, Debbie S. Green and Tony Lozada; Sisters: Agnes Boling, Faye Wilson and Ina Whaley; 30 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; Special friends: Edith Boling and Lois Etherton, and all the children on East 19th in Cleveland, Ohio
The family will receive friends 11 AM – 1 PM Friday with funeral service to follow at 1 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Leroy Parton will officiate. Interment will follow in Caton’s Chapel Cemetery.
