Former Palmerite Dies In Wyoming -
August W. Miller, a former Palmer resident and native of Merrick county passed away in a Cheyenne, Wyoming hospital February 2nd after a short illness. He was 85 years of age.
Surviving are his wife, Anna (Barnholdt); son, Donald; daughter Bonnie of Cheyenne and a daughter Betty of Washington state. Survivors in this immediate area are a brother, John F. Miller and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller and their family left Palmer nearly 30 years ago. Prior to moving to Wyoming, Mr. Miller was owner and operator of the Shady Rest Filling Station and recreation hall located 2 miles south of Palmer and also operated a truck line for several years.
