Colby Daniel Alexander, 19, of Cheyenne died Oct. 4 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

He was born March 8, 1983, in Riverton and had lived here since 1990.

He graduated from East High with honors in 2001.

Mr. Alexander was a student at the University of Wyoming where he received the Presidental Scholarship. He was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, where he was an acolyte, diocesant and convention delegate; St. Christopher's Youth Group; Boy Scouts of America, where he was an Eagle Scout and a Junior Leader Trainer; vigil member of the Order of the Arrow; National Honor Society; Who's Who; Canterbury House; and Newman Center at the University of Wyoming.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his parents, Craig and Laurie Alexander of Cheyenne; a brother, Bryce Alexander of Cheyenne; grandparents, Lona and Bill Bess of Wendover, Nev., and John and Charlotte Alexander of Casper; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Crippen.
