BODY OF LITTLE M'LERREN GIRL IS STILL UNRECOVERED

The body of the 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. McLerran still is in Horse creek, where the child was drowned last Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock, while on a berry picking expedition with her mother. Searching parties have patrolled the creek since the accident, covering its banks for 20 miles below the scene.

The creek, swollen by a cloudburst at the time of the tragedy, still is very muddy and this condition is hampering the search for the body.

The accident occurred about 25 miles north of Cheyenne. The mother did not see the child fall into the stream, her first intimation of disaster coming when two dogs with whom the girl had been playing appeared in dripping conditions and exhibited signs of distress. It is believed the dogs plunged into the stream and attempted futilely to save their little mistress.
