Converse County, Wyoming mortuary records and an article in the Douglas Budget, Douglas, Wyoming, Dec. 20, 1917 show that Anna was born in 1882 and died Dec. 17, 1917 in Converse County, Wyoming. She shot her husband, Thomas J. Metz, and then killed herself. Her parents are shown as Mr. & Mrs. William Farrell, living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. A son, 10 years old, is said to be living with relatives. (Information provided by Betty Alberts, FAG Member #47293729.)

The funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Metz were held at the Early chapel at 10:00 o'clock this morning. Interment was at Lakeview cemetery.
Dr. George C. Rafter of the Episcopal church was in charge of the funeral services. Besides Cheyenne relatives, two brothers of the dead man and E. E. Streich, a business associate, were here from Big Muddy.
