"William Harrison Coleman was born in the Town of Clayton, Crawford County, Wisconsin, May 4th 1872. He was the son of John and Mary Coleman.
"He was married March 10th 1910 to Eva V. Spencer of the town of Scott. To this union one son, Jerold Arthur was born , who died in infancy.
"He spent most of his life in Crawford County on various farms with the exception of the last three years, when he moved to Boscobel, where he passed away April 6, 1943.
Mr. Coleman was kind friend and neighbor, always willing to help when needed. He was just 'Bill everyone.
"He leaves to mourn his death a loving wife, one brother Thomas of Boscobel, and three sister, Mrs. Barbara Lowe of Elroy, Mrs. Eva Lee of Richland Center, and Lettie, Mrs. Roy Lightfoot of Brainard, Minn. nieces and nephews, beside a host of friends
"Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8th from the Thoni-Godager funeral home. The Rev. A. E. Weittenhiller was the officiating minister. Interment was at Mr. Zion.
"Pallbearers were brothers-in -law of deceased. Roscoe Spencer, Harold Spencer, Jay Noone, Kenneth Schwert, Otto Schwert, Gus Wetter. "
