Drew Fifer, well known citizen of the southwest part of the county, died at his home on the Scott farm a mile and a half south of Granger, last Wednesday morning, April 18, about five o'clock.
Mr. and Mrs. Fifer moved to the farm near Granger in March. For many years they lived in the vicinity of Gorin, where Mr. Fifer was well known and well liked.
Funeral services were held at the Gorin Methodist church, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was in the Bear Creek cemetery. Rev. G. V. Baskett officiating.
The pallbearers were John Wilcox, John Anceaux, Tom Parrish, William Woodsmall, Elmer Henry and Will Creason.
Addison Andred Fifer, son of George Robert and Mary Frances Fifer was born in Clark county, Mo., January 20, 1876.
On the 12th day of November, 1912 he united in marriage to Miss Hettie Kenoyer.
Mr. Fifer spent most all of his life in the community of his birth, where he had many friends.
He leaves to mourn his death, his widow, Mrs. Hettie Fifer , one daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Dottie Prim of St. Louis, one sister, Mrs. Anna Felker, a niece, Mrs. Fred Morrison both of Burlington, Iowa, one nephew, Earl Burkhart of Joliet, Ill.
Two sons preceded him in death, Ross Franklin died August 29, 1925 [?1929] and Joseph Harold died August 24, 1928.
