FRANCOIS X LAPRISE
WINCHENDON - Francois X LaPrise, 80, of 10 Maynard Street, whose wife died two weeks ago, died last night in Pleasant View Rest Home after a long illness.
Born in St. Jean, Port Joli, P.Q., Can son of the late Baptiste and Virginia (Bernier) LaPrise, he had been a resident of this town for 62 years. He was a self employed barber in his home for more than 50 years.
He was the husband of the late Laura R. (Charrett) (Girard), LaPrise who died June 2nd. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Our Lady of Fatima, Council K. of C. and the St. Jean Society.
Survivors include two son's, George and Joseph of Gardner, a daughter Mrs. Louise Desrosiers of Worcester, two step-sons, Alpherie O. Girard of Shortsville, NY and Harvey D. Girard of Florence, two step-daughters, Mrs. Germaine B. Gaudette of Florence and Mrs. Cora A. Trainor of Amherst, a brother, Rene LaPrise of New Britain, Conn.; four sisters, Mrs. Florda M. Rochelle and Mrs. Georgianna LaPointe, both of Winchendon, Mrs. Alexina LaPrise of New Britain, Conn., Mrs. Leona Houleau of Rock Forrest, P.Q. He also leaves a half brother, Joseph Cloutier of Winchendon, a half sister, Mrs. Mary J. Brades of Westminister; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday morning with a solemn high requiem mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. are at the Snow Funeral Home.

WINCHENDON - Funeral services for Francois X LaPrise, 80, of 10 Maynard Street, were held yesterday morning at 9 with a requiem high mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Rt. Rev. Msgr. David M. Elwood, pastor, was the celebrant.
Edgar LaFortune was the organist and the soloists were Mrs. Irene Murphy and Mrs. Annie Fisher.
Bearers were Donald and Stephen LaPrise of Gardner, Edward and Francis Desrosiers of Worcester, Robert Bouchard of Gardner, and Amedee LaBerge of Winchendon. Arrangements were in the charge of Snow Funeral Home.
