The funeral of Mrs. Ada Algene Todd, wife of Alton S. Todd, mother of Mrs. Joseph G. Stevens, took place this afternoon in the home at 234 Davis street. Rev. C. A. Roys of Deerfield officiated. Burial was in South cemetery in Leyden.

The body of Mrs. Alton S. Todd, who died at the home of her daughter, Rena, in Greenfield last Saturday night after a brief illness, was brought here for burial in Arms cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Todd lived in Shelburne Falls when a young woman and will be remembered as Miss Ada Powers, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Powers. Mr. Powers was at that time expert machinist and locksmith at Yale Lock Mfg. Co., then one of the leading industries of the town in the 60's. The Yale Co., occupied what is now the Mayhew shops and moved from there to Stamford, Ct in the early (18)70's.
