Thelma Lorraine Ahring 65, Independence, died Oct. 7, 1992, in Independence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Husman-Sparks-McDowell Chapel, Odessa, Mo.; burial in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa.
Mrs. Ahring was born in Warrensburg, Mo., and lived in Kansas City before moving to Independence in 1961. She was a representative for Avon Cosmetics Products Inc. for 22 years, retiring in 1987.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Ahring, Independence; two sons, Bob Ahring, Blue Springs, and Rick Ahring, Independence; her mother, Eunice Sims, Warrensburg; four brothers, Melvin Sims, Warrensburg, Larry Sims, Ocala, Fla., G.W. Sims, Hialeah, Fla., and Frank Sims, Independence; two sisters, Ruby Benton, Independence, and Goldie Neil, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
